Art Docent Program
is a volunteer-led program designed to bring more art into the classroom and enhances the art education offered by our teachers and PTA arts enrichment programs.

Who:
The Tiffany Park Art Docent Program is made possible by ardent volunteers and funding by the Tiffany Park PTA. So parents, PTA members, teachers are Art Docents who guide students through projects introducing them to art and art history at Tiffany Park Elementary.

When:
Each month, the Program exposes our students to a wide variety of artists, periods, techniques and art through lessons, history and hands-on art making. The curriculum for the program was thoughtfully designed to teach students art appreciation and to build on artistic skills at each grade level.

Become an Art Docent:

You don't need teaching or art experience to volunteer for this program! You'll be given training, lessons & materials -- all we need is you!  Watch for emails and newsletters or contact your student teacher.

Working with students and art materials is one of the most fun and rewarding ways you can give your time to our school, so please consider joining us this year! Art education is vital to kids as it helps them think more creatively, improves academic performance, helps develop fine motor and visual-spatial skills, and helps kids practice decision-making, collaboration, and perseverance -- abilities critical to their education and their future.

**Please note that you will have to complete an application, pass a background check and be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, as part of Renton School District's guidelines for classroom volunteers.
